Heat Wave, GoodbyeWow this humidity is really really getting tough. Every workout feels bad. I do not like the paces I’m hitting. The experience is not enjoyable. The progress is slow. When I’m out on the roads I think about you: all the other runners who are also suffering through the heat while training toward your goals. Specifically, I think about my clients and the workouts I’ve assigned to them, and the fact that they are doing! those! workouts! And they’re doing them in conditions that are just as tough or or even more challenging than my own. No one’s making excuses. We won’t get faster or fitter unless we do the work, and it’s been a grind. If you’re feeling run down and so ready for a break from the heat and humidity, let me say this: I’m right there with you. We are getting the work done anyway, and we are going to *thrive* in the fall. Sincerely, Nicole
